At Arkeocean, we are convinced that swarms of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) are the future of ocean exploration. Since our inception in 2009, we have become the pioneer and leader in delivering turnkey swarm systems comprised of hundreds and one day soon, thousands of micro-AUVs. Today, we work with our customers in the Defense, Energy and Environmental sectors to deliver solutions that are disrupting their industries.
The benefits of using swarms of micro-AUVs:
- A swarm of AUVs enables our customers to finally explore large areas simultaneously delivering a 3D acoustic situational awareness of the water column. We finally have a tool that is adapted to the vastness of the ocean (which has not been the case so far).
- Our micro-AUVs are very discreet, even in numbers. This makes them extremely hard to detect by conventional methods, which is perfect for defense missions, to gather intelligence and for surveillance missions.
- Swarms operate at a much lower operational costs than existing solutions on the market. They are more agile, smaller and require less equipment and personnel to operate. One of our customers even reported a -30% saving compared to their usual operational costs, saving them millions per mission.
- Our AUVs are more environmentally friendly. They use the current to their advantage, saving battery power and will soon be able to charge using solar powered underwater docking stations which we are currently developing.
